The Big Reveals!

The Masked Singer

This morning the masks came off and our talented singers were revealed!  Rockin' Ron was revealed as Miss Rodriguez, Disney Princess was Miss Treamer, Some Bloke was Mr Martin, Mystery Monkey was Miss Hills and Poppin' Penguin was Mr Daws!  Congratulations to all those who guessed right and a huge thanks to our talented singers who were game for a laugh and gave up their free time to entertain us!

Murder Mystery

Who would have thought it?  Mr Finn, of all people?  And everyone thought he was such a nice bloke!  But the dark side must have got the better of him and those sci-fi disagreements just had to be settled one way or another...but who actually guessed correctly?

Leverest

Well, not only did our dedicated sixth formers (and Mr Finn and Mr Dawns) stay up all night and walk up Everest on the Stairmaster, they totally smashed their target of the 29,032ft climb, they totalled an incredible 59,400ft which is the equivalet of walking up 4,950 flights of stairs or climbing up mount Everest AND BACK DOWN AGAIN!  But like one sixth former pointed out; it's always easier on the way down...?!

But that wasn't the only target that was smashed - a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored the team on their challenge - their fundraising target was £500 and to date the total raised is over £750!  It's still not too late to donate - click HERE to visit the JustGiving page.

Student Talent Show

This year's show was the best yet!  The line up was as follows:

  • Ella Houston singing Reflection by Christina Aguilera
  • Guy Anthony singing We are the Champions by Queen
  • Emily Upton dancing en pointe to Waltz of the Flowers
  • Honey Askew singing Colours of the Wind from the Pocahontas soundtrack
  • Evie Martin singing My Head & My Heart by Ava Max
  • Olivia Cowley singing My Love by Jess Glynne
  • Vikki Pereira singing Yebba's Heartbreak by Drake
  • Blue Fire performing Under the Bridge by the Chilli Peppers and Everlong by the Foo Fighters

Every single one of the performances was outstanding and the crowds showed their support and appreciation by cheering on!  It is a really brave thing to do - to get up on a stage in front of 300+ of your peers and perform live - and these guys deserved every bit of the credit they received.  You all rocked!

And we had a special guest compère, ex-student and talent show star, Joel Lewis who came back for this event and gave the audience an impromptu performance of Michael Jackson's Billy Jean, for old times' sake.

Truly an incredible end to Charity Week 2022 - we will announce the total amount raised as well as the Big Raffle winners next week!  Thank you to all students, staff and parents who given thier time and money - you have all been absolutely amazing.
