Once again, our Sports Awards Celebration Event was back and bigger than ever!

This year's celebrity guest was none other than Tottenham Hotspur's footballing legend, Ledley King, who spent the evening with us to answer questions about his career and give out the awards.

With over 240 students nominated for awards this year, the sports hall was packed full!  Over 350 guests sat down to a 3 course meal while the students had a chance to meet with Ledley, have photos, collect autographs and have a meal followed by an ice-cream.

Everyone came together afterwards for the prize-giving ceremony, which saw students taking to the stage to receive their sports colours badges, winners of the Most Improved Player and Player of the Year awards.  Finally, the prestigious shields and awards for special individuals were presented as well as the Team of the Year Award, which this year was won by the Year 10 Girls Athletics Team for their incredible achievement in winning the County Plate - a first for Leventhorpe!

It was a fantastic fundraising evening, and all proceeds of the night will be going towards improving the school's sports facilities for all students.
