GCSE Results
Leventhorpe Year 11 students were relieved and excited to receive their GSCE results and to enrol on their chosen courses for September.
Our top performers were Austin MacLeod & Thomas Graham – eight 9s, two 8s and an A in Additional Maths, Joshua French – five 9s and five 8s, Samara Keyser – five 9s, four 8s and a 7 and Aimee Cole – five 9s, three 8s and two 7s.
"Once again, it has been a fantastic morning to share with our students and to see them finalising their choices for next term. It has been great to see the dedication and hard work these students throughout their time with us, but particularly during Year 11. 34 students in the year group had an average grade of 7 or more across all of their entries. 50 of the cohort improved by at least one grade per entry between their mocks and their results today, which is a fantastic testament to the students and their hard work. I would also like to thank our staff who have worked really hard to support and nurture the students throughout their journey through the school. The fact that our top 75 students in terms of progress made, beat their benchmark targets by an average of 1.5 grades per entry shows that hard work and determination really does pay off. The positive results today are due to the collaborative working relationships between staff, students and parents. Congratulations and best wishes to all of our Year 11 cohort, you have been a delight to work with and we look forward to welcoming so many of you back to join us in September."Malcolm White, Headteacher commented, GCSE Press Release August 2025
Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for 1 school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

“As ever, it is a delight to see the hard work and efforts of our students rewarded with fantastic outcomes. This cohort have been superb in their attitudes to their studies and also in the way they have demonstrated leadership in so many areas of school life. They have balanced their academic study with commitment to drama, music, sport, working with younger students and delivering on student led projects across all areas of the school. It is fantastic to see them moving on to new opportunities at top universities and high-quality degree apprenticeships. We wish them every success.”
