These students have faced unprecedented challenges since the spring of 2020, and their results are a testament to their hard work, resilience and engagement over that period of time.
I often tell the students to control what they can control and to not worry about things they can’t change or influence. It is fantastic to see this cohort taking ownership of their learning and working so well with our staff.
It has been wonderful to see so many students securing top grades. There are also individuals in this year group who have overcome significant challenges in terms of mental health and difficult personal circumstances, and it has been great to see hard work rewarded and personal goals met.
This is a day for the students to take centre stage, they will enjoy their celebrations with a real sense of personal pride. They have been brilliant to work with and we look forward to welcoming them back into our sixth form in September to continue their journey with us.’Malcolm White, Headteacher commented, GCSE Press Release August 2022

“Our Year 13 cohort of 2022 were a delightful group of young people, who have faced unprecedented challenges since the pandemic took hold in 2020. They have demonstrated incredible resilience and flexibility during their sixth form studies and I want to thank them for working so proactively with the school as we have navigated these difficult times. The joy of working with, and celebrating with such superb young people cannot be overstated. I am delighted to see so many of our students going on to study on their first-choice university courses. It is also great to see so many students securing high quality degree apprenticeships. We wish them every success in their exciting futures.”
