We are once again delighted with the fantastic achievements of our sixth form students.  A Level results at Leventhorpe are once again above the national norm, with students scoring higher grades and more UCAS (university entry points) than the national average.  99% of students passed their A2 examinations with 51% scoring the top grades of A* to B.  Our best performers were:

  • Tom Costello with 4A* grades
  • Sam Kirby with 3A*s and 1A
  • Jack Love with 3A* and 1A
  •  Ben Clarke 2A* and 2 As
  • Riana Dixon 1A* and 4As
  • Estelle Rock 1A* and 3As
  • Lauren Huff 1A* and 3As
  • Estelle Rock 1A* and 3As
  • Poppy Allan-Spoto 1A*, 3As and 1B
  • Josephine Privett 1A* and 2As
  • Eleanor Hayes 1A* and 2As

We celebrate the achievement of all of our students, but I think it is testament to the hard work and effort of our students and staff that for yet another year the school’s top performers have achieved such superb results; our students are unequivocally among the best on the country in either the state or private education sectors.

All of our students who had Oxbridge offers have got the grades they needed for their place and there is also a great success rate amongst applicants for the Russell Group universities and again a number have gained their places to study medicine.  We are really proud of how much effort our students put into choosing the right university for them and it is a real pleasure to see the look of achievement of their faces when they secure the grades they need for their higher education offer.  There will still be a few days before we know for sure, but we know that most students got the grades they needed to gain their university places and we think we might even beat last year’s fantastic figures where over 90% of student progressed onto higher education.

Year 12 AS results were also similarly strong with an average score of over 100 QCA points.  There were some great individual performances with five students gaining straight A grades:

  • James Morrisey - 4 A grades at AS
  • Priya Panchal - 4 A grades at AS
  • Ethan Stockwell - 4 A grades at AS
  • Jesvin Xavi - 4 A grades at AS
  • Ho-Yee Lee - 3 A grades at AS
