 Race for Life 1

Leventhorpe's Race for Life is at 4pm on Friday 5th June, to raise money for Cancer Research UK while having a lot of fun at the same time.  Last year's event saw an array of fancy dress and a mix of blues and pinks as over 250 students, teachers, parents and friends did their part to help fight cancer.  More than £6,000 was raised for Cancer Research and we hope that this year's event will be equally successful.

This year's entry cost is again £5 which includes a finisher's medal, a wrist band ticket, race number and sponsorship form. T shirts and other items can be purchased from the Race for Life website.  Students are asked to collect as much sponsorship as possible and bring all money raised with them on the day in an envelope for us to total up as a school.  Students can raise money via the school’s justgiving page as well as via their sponsorship forms.  On the day there will also be cakes made by students and ice lollies for sale for a small amount to help boost the campaign. The student who raises the most money will receive a prize.

Last year's racers wore an array of pink and blue to go with the charity colours, accompanied by face paints and various fancy dress outfits which really pumped up the atmosphere of the event.

Hope to see you there!
