Everyone in the school is delighted with our results for this academic year. We have seen an improvement in the percentage of students scoring the higher grades with 55% of grades being B or higher and we have also seen an improvement in the number of the top A* grades awarded to our students.

There has been a great deal of change in the examination system this year, not least the removal of the opportunity to do retakes, so these improved results are a real testament to the hard work of our students and the outstanding teachers who support them.

We would like to celebrate the achievements of all our students and a special mention should go to the following:

  • Jack Bradbury, who achieved four A* grades and an A to gain his place at Cambridge studying Medicine.
  • Georgina Shenton, who achieved two A* grades and two A grades to gain her place at Durham reading English Literature.
  • Daniel Smith, who achieved an A* grade and two A grades to take up his place reading History at Oxford.
  • Will Dyball, who achieved two A* grades and A and a B and intends to go to Sussex to study Business.
  • Ruby Pease, who achieved an A* and two A grades and will take up her place reading Psychology at York.
  • Emma Coates, who achieved an A*, two A grades and a B to gain her place studying Law at Cambridge.
  • Jack Alexander, who achieved an A* and two A grades and will study History at Warwick.
