The Gold Challenge Olympic event took place in our new Leisure Centre on Friday 13th January, involving students from all seven year groups to attempt to cover a distance of 2012km.  Their efforts are still continuing throughout this week, with both students and staff doing their best to put in the distance.

They will be sponsored by friends and family, and all sponsorship money raised goes to the charity, Magic Bus.  Shopping vouchers will be awarded to those students who succeed in raising the most sponsorship.

The day is part of Gold Challenge, in partnership with the British Olympic Association, and provides a good opportunity to raise money for charity while creating enthusiasm for the upcoming Olympics.  Leventhorpe's chosen charity, Magic Bus, is an Indian not-for-profit company dedicated to harnessing the power of sports to develop the lives of children in India.
