globalweekMore than sixty Year 9 students from schools around the consortium will be competing for the title of Most Enterprising School in the Soap Challenge, as a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.  The competition will be hosted by Leventhorpe, beginning at 9.30 am and ending by 3pm.  Students from Birchwood, Hertfordshire and Essex, Hockerill, The Bishops Stortford High School and Leventhorpe will represent their schools. They will be up against the clock whilst working in groups with Angus Farmer from Coco Mango to develop, and then present, their ideas to a panel of entrepreneurs from around the area.  The winning team will have their design put into production and receive £300 of their product to sell on behalf of their school.

To increase the enterprising nature, the event is being organised by five Business Administration and Finance Diploma students from Birchwood and Leventhorpe in partnership with Wendy Gordon from Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
